In solidarity against the Oppression
Think not that God would go back on His promise (made) to the apostles. Indeed God is mighty, the Lord of retribution. [14:47]
فَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ اللَّـهَ مُخْلِفَ وَعْدِهِ رُسُلَهُ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّـهَ عَزِيزٌ ذُو انتِقَامٍ
Salam alaykom,
With all the injustice happening around the world, especially in the Middle East, on the people there.
Starting from Gaza, where the Israeli forces raged a brutal, inhuman, war against surrounded area dense with powerless civilians and unsheltered families and children. And yet day after day with all its weaponry machines attacks targeting schools, hospitals and houses we see the world silent about it.
Moving to the brothers in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Pakistan etc who have been continuously attacked by extremist groups: which are very alien from the Islam message and the humanity nature.
Where they didn’t leave anyone safe from their cruelty, and we see daily huge migrations for minority groups: Christians, Yazidis (in Mosul, Iraq), Shia, Christians etc. (in Syria and Lebanon etc.). In plus, to the endless oppression forced on the Sunni groups, because of objecting them and distancing themselves from there acts and ideologies, and assassinating all Muslim scholars who comes to denounce them in public.
We, in Glasgow AhlulBayt Association, condemn all forms and acts of oppression and injustice there. And we stand with our brothers and support them with what we can from charity (in our fundraising events) and prayers (in our majalis and religious zikr).
We feel the hardships and difficulties of the situations there on our brothers in the current time. And we invite (restate to) everyone (groups, individuals), to make a clear stand against the continuous injustices, and to support them with what they can do in humanitarian aid (via trusted charities), prayers, stands and boycotts.
We pray for the hastening of our Imam Mahdi (aj) who will replace this world with justice and peace after it was filled with injustice and oppression.
Sincerely yours,
GAA
